Off The Wall series. A double IPA featuring El Dorado, Strata and Idaho 7.

This DIPA massively complex ménage à trois and nothing short of an all-out sensory assault : With El Dorado, Strata, and Idaho 7, we’ve got intense tropical notes of mango, watermelon candy and apricot combined with juicy pear and cherry; but underneath all that beautiful tropical goodness beats a dank heart of resinous pine, cannabis, black tea and orange zest. 440ml can from Beer52. Hazy orange-gold, small creamy head, nice retention. Aroma of mango, pineapple, pine, resin. Taste is sweet tangy tropical notes and malt which lead through to finish with a pine resin and moderate but long bitterness. A warming alcohol notable on way down. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Not a corker but a good DIPA nonetheless.

440ml can: BB 18th Feb 2022, came to me via Beer52. Poured into a UK pint sleeve (Everards Tiger badged) at home on 10th Aug 2021. Rocky white head of foam, cloudy dull orange body. Mango's and oranges in both the nose and taste, other citrussy fruits are available if you sniff and pontificate enough. Dank bitterness is another way of putting the flavours of this citrus centric hoppy DIPA into words, but that sounds derogative which it isn't supposed to be.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 20/03/21. Moderately hazed orange to light amber with a decent off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is sticky tropical fruits, orange pith, pine resin, mango flesh, pineapple, light floral notes. Taste comprises over ripened pineapple, orange peel, grapefruit flush, mango, sweet malts, light pine kiss. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow juicy hop bitterness. Ok DIPA if a little sweet and lacking some bittering balance for me.
