This version uses the strain known colloquially as ‘Brett D’, selected by our brewers for its reputation of introducing a fruity cocktail of pineapple and red apple aromas. Over time as the beer ages (if you manage to save it), expect to see additional complexity emerge, introducing an assertive kick of that characteristic Brettanomyces funk.
Hops: Citra, Simcoe, Motueka

440ml can drank side by side with Plan Q. Hazy pale orange with a big frothy white head, noticeably darker with much more head than Plan Q. Aroma is quite hoppy, pineapple and citrus, mild funk. Taste has a little more of that funk but the hops still star, pineapple, lime, lemon rind, a touch of stone fruits. Medium bodied, dry finish. Noticeably funkier than Plan Q so I suppose you could say it's better in that it's got much more bretty character.

Can from Stamford Beer Direct. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma yeasty Brett and pineapple. Taste citrus to dry.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Misty golden yellow pour, large white head. Fascinating. Deya's house yeast is singing loud and proud, a touch doughy with mild apricot, complemented by the Brett D strain and colourful citrus hop shades completing the blend. Great beer, not too shouty but it works well.
