Another name in the IPA Familie (Lennie, Dennie, Jennie) is Kennie. A new style released in the Netherlands; a Hazy Westcoast IPA at 6%. Instead of having malt and yeast make this beer hazy we use hops to create a slightly hazy beer. A proper hybrid of a NEIPA and a Westcoast IPA. Kennie refers to several Westcoast characters like Kendrick Lamar, Kenny and Ken, Barbie's partner in crime.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Slightly hazy golden colour, large to moderate white head. Typical West Coast IPA aroma, notes of pine / resin and grapefruit, hints of orange marmalade. Fairly light bodied. Dry flavour, with a moderate bitterness of resin and grapefruit. Refreshing, easy drinking.

Orange with a sudsy white head and lots of floaters. Strong pine aroma with fruity undertones, a mix of peaches and citrus. With a bit of time in the glass, a pleasant caramel twist adds to the mix. Taste is bitter the whole way through. Dry at the finish with lingering resin. There’s a chewy, fruit candy sweet foundation that keeps things interesting. The just noticeable alcohol at the finish is the main flaw. Not refreshing, but still goes down easily. Nice.

Can. A hazy orange colored beer with a dense finger-thick white head. The aroma is piney and grapefruity, with a light touch of pale malts, grass and kiwi. It's meduium to full-bodied, smoothly carbonated, with a gentle bitterness. Pine cones, resin, grapefruit and some kiwi and pale malts in the flavor. Medium length finish. An easy drinkable one, but nothing particular going on. 230408

50 cl. bottle shared with Brent @ home, gift from Brent. Hazy orange with a white head. Citrus arome with some little tropical fruit as well. Bitter taste with a bitter finish. Indeed a fine hazy west coast IPA.
