Malziger, getreidiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, getreidig, leicht hopfig, leicht fruchtig mit Honig. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle @ North of Bamberg. Pours cloudy Golden with a small White head. Sweet malts. Grains and doughyness. Enough bitterness to round it off. Smooth and mellow. Crackers and a whiff of citrus. Delicious.

500ml Bottle - Amber with a foamy head. Caramel, bubblegum and hints of stewed dates in the aroma. The taste is malty with notes of dried apricot, grain, bread and toffee. Verges slightly on the sickly side but manages to retain a bit of balance.

Meinel-Bräu Doppelbock hell, Flasche von Heußinger, Bindlach. - Kupfergold, klar. Mild rezent, vollmundig, perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang feine kräuterige Hopfenherbe. - Außerordentlich runder, eleganter Doppelbock. Ganz klar unterbewertet. (17.12.2019.)

Golden clear with a small head, sweet caramel nose with a bit of hay and a tinge of vanilla. Has a bit of off flavor in the aftertaste (fermented too warm? maybe from the yeast?), sweet, not really great.
