2020 was a difficult year for everyone, also for the rhubarb . Given the very great drought, the rhubarb had simply not come out at my retired rhubarb grower. (Thats another story, but for the next release or so) The rhubarb that we used for this blend is partly grown on Zeeland soil and this also translates into the taste. A slight salinity is noticeable here. The final blend is an assembly of 3 different types of rhubarb.

Sample from the bottle (vintage 2021 actually) at MBCC2022, Copenhagen. Colour is Cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grass, dry fruits, dryness tartness...

Lci. Liquid rhubarb... Very dry... Perhaps too dry for the rhubarb taste to reach its full potential.

Draught @ MBCC 2022, Copenhagen. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Funky and tart flavor. Rhubarb and berries. Dry finish.

Bottle, 2021 vintage (not sure what's different here). Unclear golden color with white head. Aroma is nice rhubarb, sweetish almost, good funk too. Taste is sweet rhubarb kompot, funky, leather, a bit acidic, but overall quite jammy. Oily mouthfeel, fine-bubbled carbonation. Pretty impressive!

MBCC. 2021 vintage. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is dry, malty, wood and barnyard. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 140522

Golden with a small white head - Sour wood adn rhubarb aroma - Sour malt and wood flavour with rhubarb flavours - The good sour flavours goes into a long finish - This was good

Small fine white head over clear golden beer. Intense lambic nose, horseblanket, lemon, lemonpeel, farmyard, floral. Champenoise white wine with mushrooms, peach, lemon and horseblanket. Out of this world! Demi-sec top sparkling wine with a lemon dash. Light body, acidthinning, light acidburn. Very good carbonation. Sam, this one is magic!
