Can from Wine Rack, Burpham. Aroma is fruity and marmalade with caramel and a touch of spice and resin. Opaque dark brown. Thick fluffy foamy beige head. Medium bitter with a sour tang. Pleasent resin. Rye spice. Marmalade and berries. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Obviously flying lanterns are a menace to both human and bovine society but I knew that Siren would deliver a enjoyable Red IPA and they have.

Appearance is dark brown with a red hue, a foamy 1-2 finger beige head. Aroma- malt, brown bread, fruity hops, hints of toffee, orange, fruitcake. Taste is malty, dark fruits, hop bitterness, rye, quite a full mouthfeel, hoppy fruit towards the end. Good stuff.

Hazy red beer, thick foamy off white head. Smells of citrus and peach. Flavour has citrus zest, bitter hops, a good amount of maltiness. Has a bit of a rye beer about it. Quite a dry finish. Packs a good punchy flavour. I like this.

Can at home, from Siren online, 24/04/21. Deep red tinted amber with a good side beige head that stays for the show. Nose is blood orange, candied fruit peel, pine dusting, caramel, sweet tropical fruit esters, grapefruit, candyfloss. Taste comprises candied fruit rinds, caramel malt, pine needle, red grapefruit, melon, burnt sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness. Another really solid red IPA from the Siren crew ... these guys are nailing this oft dull style.
