Almost black color and a nice off-white head. Nose Is sweetish, roasted malts, grainy, DARK chocolate, honey. Taste Starts with Toffee ans nice roasted malts. Followed by DARK chocolate and dried fruits. Finish with nice bitter hoppy-piney flavors

Bottle @ Kvickly Middelfart. Pours Dark amber Brown with a rather large White head. Toffee, prune and figs. Chocolate and cigar box. Sticky bitter piney hops and a bitter finish. Warming alcohol. Sipper. 8/4/8/4/16. 4.0

Sample, thanks fonefan! Hazy dark brown, small head. Aroma of chocolate, pine and figs. Sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Figs, piney grapefruit, treacle and burn toast. Warming very bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer Republic. Nice malt/hop ratio with caramel, piney hop, dark malt, dried fruits, light toffee, some grapefruit and toasty notes, hint of figs. Flavour is medium bittersweet, medium to full body. Bitter(sweet), hoppy and malty, firm flavour. My prefered configuration for Barley Wine.

Amber-brown in color with a two-finger, off-white head. Aroma is caramel and fruit cake. Taste is fruit cake with hints of grains and hops.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Opaquedark brown to black color, medium sized off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma and flavor are malts, way more bitter than I had expected from a barley wine, light green apples. Hmm odd flavor for an American barley wine. Hmm less good than I had hoped.

Bottle (from Beer Republic). Deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is toffee, some mild dried fruits, alcohol and some plum tones. Flavour is plum, some dried fruits, alcohol, mild toffee and a bit fudgey tones. Hides alcohol rather nice.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours an opaque, deep brown with a small, beige head. Nutty, oxidized, roasty nose with quite some Dark dried fruits. Very solid body, heavy on the dark, dried fruits, some roastiness and heavy oxidation. Warming alcohol finish with quite some bitterness. Top class! 220924
