Bottle. Pours a dark brown with light tan head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a roasted malt and dark chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a roasted malt and light hops. Hides alcohol well, a very good barley wine from Founders.

12 oz bottle from Doodler! Thanks so much Scott! Nose is some toffee, golden raisins (lots of fruitiness), and rich flowery hops. clear, very dark golden brownwith a medium lighter tan head. Flavor is chocolate, moderate bitterness, and raisin pie like my Mom used to make. Excellent stuff!

35,5 cl bottle @ home, no BBE info
Rather weird, floury and a bit stale aroma with cocoa. Flavour is sweet with raisins, licorice , somewhat harsh hops and warming alcohol. Too sweet but kind of interesting.

Pours dark reddish brown with a sticky bubbly head. Aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malts, syrup, cocoa and toffee. Taste is quite sweet and malty. Quite bitter with notes of syrup, cocoa, licorice and toffee. Finish is slightly bitter and sticky. Quite complex and tasty barley wine.

Bottle - thanks SpencerDB! Pours a dark brown with a thin khaki head. Aroma is rich in citrus hops, caramel, roast, and chocolate. Taste is sweet and rich with citrus, florals, and more caramel. Chocolate takes a backseat, but still compliments the flavors. Just a bit of roast now. Lingering citrus hoppy finish. Nice!

Bottled. Fruity aroma with dried plums, wheat, cherry. Young and slightly boozy flavor, fruity, with cherry, a bit of citrus, root beer and cola, a touch of ginger and licorice. Delicious.

Bottle from michael-pollack. Pours very dark brown with a creamy/bubbly tan head. Aroma of warm roast caramel with an underlay of herb. Med body with mild carb. Flavor is dark, near burnt malt with a hint of heat and some bitter herb/floral hop. Flavors tend to go in and out. Think the last sip was citric. Very flavorful and very well balanced. It’s a pleasure to get a barley wine that isn’t sticky and has significant bitter.
