Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours dark hazy brown. Aromas of dark dried fruits, mashed apples, malts, light sweet barrel notes, a tad licorice and tobacco. Taste has a lot of the same mashed apples, malty, chocolate, sweet licorice, quite bitter, oaky, vinous.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Hazy brown with a big light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit, dark fruit, light glue, wood and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. The glue/acetone note takes a lot away from this beer. 021216

Crowler, from Basement Beer Bar. It pours an unclear brown body, rather oily and with some beige bubbles on top. Heavy aroma with malts dominating. Oak, booze and some hints of vanilla. Toffee, bread and caramel. It’s full bodied, warming and lightly carbonated. Sort of oily. Lots of malty flavors, toffee, caramel, bread and some hazelnuts. Not much hoppyness going on, not bitterness either. Lasting warming and sweet finish with caramel dominating. Quite lovely this one, but I’d love to taste it without the barrel ageing. 160923

Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A dark ruby brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruit aroma. Tastes similar, quite sweet, boozy, malty, caramel, dark fruit, slightly bitter finish. Decent enough barleywine from Evil Twin.

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wroclaw). Miedziany kolor, bezowa piana, krotka.

Brewdogs Sheps Bush. Keg. 11%. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and rich malts, cream and caramel - toffee. Ripe fruits, bruised fruits. Appley spice (the Coal Ila had this as well). Alcohol spice. Mellow smooth fruity whiskey that lingers on. Nice.

Keg at Craft 100 - Craft Beer Co. Clapham, London. Pours hazy reddish brown with a creamy, light tan head. The nose holds a bit of varnish, light caramel, dried fruits, bread. Moderately sweet, boozy, with more notes of varnish, toasty malts, caramel, light vanilla. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming on the finish with kicks of paint, alcohol, woody dryness. A bit messy.
