Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto da caffè e cioccolato. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore è inesistente. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, cioccolato fondente, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca e agrumi.

9/4/2020. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers! I enjoyed this more than you did!! Pours very dark brown with a small tan coloured head. Aroma of deep roasted malt, dark chocolate, burned toffee, coffee, molasses and vanilla. Moderate sweetness and heavy bitterness. Medium body, average to soft carbonation. Bitter coffee and dark chocolate finish. Some liquorice and dark fruits come through.

Can: Poured a pitch black with a two finger tan head. Aroma is roasty malts some adjunct of some type. Taste is alcohol, roasted malts, liquorice, finish is kinda bland for being an impy.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - jet black with a deep fawn head. Nose - dark, creamy chocolate. Brown sugar. Taste - dark chocolate and light smoke. Maybe liquorice. Palate - full bodied and roasty while also being lightly boozy. Long finish. Overall - good stuff.

Bottle at Craig's. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, toffee. Taste is rich, fruity, chocolate. Sweet finish.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, a bit butter, milky. Taste is chocolate, raspberries with cream, some clotted cream. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Just ok.
