Can at home, aged 18 months or so ... dunno why, from some online peddler 17 months or so ago ... can't recall who ... thats enuff for a raking yeah ? And not the worst I've seen my some Cuntry fucken margine! It's Friday 7th January 2022. Black with a big old khaki cap that thins but stays for the show. Nose is meaty, good roasted vibes, fruit cake, toffee, chocolate, spice, molasses. Taste comprises roasted bite, molasses, chocolate, dried fruit rinds, charr, light ashen nip, dates, figs, spice, alcohol. Full bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced spike of alcohol. Doubtful in my mind that sitting on this juan for 18 months has done it any harm ... classic old skool impy stout ... meaty, earthy, umami ... balanced alcohol and a great mouthfeel ... along with the Kernel SMOD get this right more than most brewers. Good kit. Fuck you Gary ... both of you's!

#bokkeonline. Delicious standard imperial stout with a good focus on malts.

Can from HoTM, shared with my bro. It pours pretty much opaque black with a decent frothy beige head. The aroma is rich and toothy, deep dark roasted malt, umami, liquorice, dark chocolate, molasses, dried fruits, Eccles cake, charred, peppery spice, rocky road, florentines and nougat. The taste is dry, touch of bitterness, dark roasted malts, coffee grounds, molasses, liquorice, umami, dried fruits, fruit & nut chocolate, rocky road, burnt toast, peppery spice, dark fruits, plum and prune with a drying, toothy finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Nice to have a rich and robust impy stout without any adjuncts for a change.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer HD. Pours deep black-brown with a dense, frothy beige head. Medium sweet flavour, loaded with rich dark malts, toasted toffee, smooth chocolate, restrained roast, candi sugar. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation, velvety texture. Lightly warming finish, some sticky dark malts, gooey chocolate, some raisins, more roast, a nip of ash. Outstanding malt portrait.

Can from Park Fever, Hither Green. Black pour with a beige head. Coffee, cola, marzipan, toffee, dark chocolate, cocoa aromas. Rich, soothing - nay- shoulder massaging flavours of chocolate cake, dark roast coffee, demerara sugar, cocoa. So smooth, velvety. Rich, sweet finish. Bloody good stuff!

Can from brewery at Attercliffe. Opaque black body with a tan head. Lots of roasty coffee and rich chocolate in the nose and taste, boosted with a big oily mouthfeel and a tangible boozy xmas cake fruit kick. Dangerously good. In fact probably the best beer I've had in a few years. I likes the Babalú.
