Bottle at home in Alkmaar. Black pour with a beige head. Nose is chocolate, dried fruits, orange zest, cocoa. Taste is is also quite hoppy, citric, slightly earthy and apart from this it shows chocolate and cocoa with maaaaaybe some coconut. Closes wit a sweetish finish that dries out nicely at the end of the sip, the body is full with a soft carbonation. This works a lot better than the Enigma/Nelson one and while it's decisively hoppy it retains more balance than other variants I had earlier did. Enjoyable, black IPAesque.

Bottle from Beerdome. Aroma is roasted malt with fruity hops. Picking up chocolate, tropical fruit, pine resin, some coffee, citrus, some laurel and salty liquorice. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Medium to full body. Very nice, like an Imperial Black IPA with Baltic Porter sweetness.

Bottle from Beerdome. Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, caramel, licorice and moderate hoppy - pine. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Oily. 270122

Piekny wyglad, piana spora, gesta, bezowa barwa, oleiste, pelne, palone, chmielne amerykancami poteznie, doskonale skontrowala te poczatkowa slodycz, srednia palonosc, barwa cieczy czarna, nie przejrzysta, stylowa blekitna etykieta. doskonaly lekko palony i waniliowy finisz z goryczka w tle. 330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty, slightly yeasty fruity and leafy-grassy-herbal hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, hints of plum, prune, blueberry, blackberry, a leafy touch of corresponding shrubs, whiffs of cinnamon, dill, coconut, undertones of dark caramel. Taste is roasty, chocolately, dark malty, slightly caramel malty, and herbal-citrusy fruity hoppy, notes of dark chocolate, dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, hints of lemon balm, a touch of coconut, cinnamon; lingering, bitter roasty and bitter hoppy finish. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally dry as well as minimally cloying palate, fine, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation. A lot of subtle Sabro flavours, reliable Imperator Bałtycki quality as base beer - very good!

Bottle. Doing a comparison with the regular Imperator. Pours dark brown, very small head. Aroma is dark malts, prunes, fig, caramel, molasses, light fruity notes. Medium to big body. Flavour is malty, lots of dark malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, molasses, prune. Light to medium bitterness. In the finish you get a touch of sabro coconut, but that is really the only difference I can taste in comparison with the regular version, safe for a flavour profile which in general is a touch brighter. It's obviously still an excellent Baltic porter, but I wish the hops would have been showing through a bit more.

Bottle at tasting. Malty aroma and taste, chocolate, roasty notes, hops, light sweet, medium to high bitter. Medium to full body, malty, hoppy, chocolate bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle at a tasting with the RB boys. A pretty weird combination of Black IPA and Baltic Porter. Full body, medium carbonation. High bitterness, lots of grassy, piney hops character. Sabro and Strata feel completely different in this beer. Medium chocolatey coffeeish maltiness. All parts of this are good, but not combined together well. Good but not great.
