Cask at Cloisters. Pours a mahogany colour with a nice creamy hesd. The nose has some liquorice with a biscuity background. The taste is more liquorice. The palate has a medium to big body with a good texture in the middle section and a nice elegant falling away finish. Overall, a nice ale!

Cask-conditioned at Cloisters, Edinburgh 7/06/2011. Deep brown with an off-white head. Rich, sweet, fruity malt and nut aroma. Sweet toffee aroma, with more fruit and a contrasting slightly herbal edge leading to a dryish, hoppy finish. Very good.
