Can from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Lots of marshmallow in the aroma, with milk chocolate, lactose, vanilla, fudge, sugar, caramel, some coconut but too little. Flavour is quite sweet, body is medium to full. Hoped for more coconut, this is quite heavy on the marshmallow.

330ml can watching a clarinet concerto on BBC Proms. Pours pitch black, almost no head remaining. Don't often go for desert stouts these days, esp those with marshmallow, but this is pretty decent.. excellent harmony of flavours.. nicely sweet.. good stuff.

Black Threats 1st Edition 2021 Very deep-brown beer with a yellow rim, pouring a bit viscously. Ultra sweet, syrupy smelling. Coconut, Bounty bars, straight from the sweets' shelf. Sweet, coconut, Cadbury "chocolate" bars, liquorice allsorts. Sticky, viscous, cloying in the extreme, thick. Bweeeuuugh! Txs to Stef for bringing, and sparing me to have to spend money on this.

ABV: 11.0%. ✅ Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, marshmallows, vanilla, coconut, chocolate - vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, marshmallow, vanilla, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, sugary. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20220219]

33cl can. A black beer with a small tan lacing. Aroma of sweet marshmallow, vanilla, coconut, sugar. Taste of intense sweet and strong dark malt, marshmallow, intense coconut, vanilla, sweet and sticky finish.

Pours black, medium sized, mocha head. Scent is full, roasty, sweet impressions (marshmellow is clear, coconut more to the back but recognizable) . Taste is full, sweet - perhaps a touch metallic in the back, but it's hiden beyond all the aroma's - so at this point i'm not even sure it actually is metallic. it's something sharp, anyways. Again, both additives are recognizable - but marshmellow has the upperhand. Mild bitterness. Very decent imperial stout. One of the better ones by Galea, for sure.
