On tap at Bierstadt. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa, raisin, licorice. Thin body, raisin, bready malt, cocoa, light dry finish, very good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear brown with a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has light chocolate and dark grains with a hint of roast supporting. Flavor has earthy dark grains and a smooth chocolate with a touch of roast in the finish.

Can from Bierstadt courtesy of a friend. Thanks Sam! Pours a deep chestnut brown with a lingering soapy beige head. Lovely nose light chocolate and mild cold brew coffee with fig, date and caramel aromas. Somehow full flavored, but easy drinking and not overly heavy. More of the dark fruit and chocolate notes, but has a dry and mineral forward finish. Fantastic stuff!

From Beer Drop. No dating on the can.

Looks kinda black until I hold my glass up to the light. Dark brown with reddish highlights, clear, long lasting head of foam and good lacing.

The smell is roasted malt, toasted malt, some hop bitterness, smells like, and I am no expert, a beer that came out of the Czech Republic.

Tastes authentic too. Nice roastiness, toasted malt, hint of nut, likeable hop bitterness. Beautiful to look at, a real pleasure to drink. I'm glad that I have 3 more cans!!
