Imperial stout barred aged on port wine barrels.

On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly drops of amazingly overwhelming aromas, a thick fudge-like black body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amounts. And the taste... even more jesus!

Can. Almost black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, dark chocolate, port and barrel. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, dark chocolate, port, barrel, sweet, liquorice, medium bitter and warming.

ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark black colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, wine - port, wood, alcohol - vinous, moderate chocolate - coffee. Flavor is light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, port wine - vinous, wood, roasted - chocolate, barrel. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20200301]

Tap@Himmeriget, Copenhagen (15/02/2020) - black with a brown head. Dark sweet and roasted malty with overt notes of red wine port, chocolate, caramel, medium to full body, dark sweet roasted port landen malty finish.

Can @ Tiden Farver tasting. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasteed malt, caramel, chocolate, light coffee, wood, dried fruit, port. Flavor is sweet light bitter, roast malt, caramel, dark chocolate, sweet dried fruit, port, wood, light tart oak, alcohol. Medium to full body, light oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation, sweet finish with light alcohol warmth. 140220
