Imperial stout barred aged on port wine barrels.

On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly drops of amazingly overwhelming aromas, a thick fudge-like black body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amounts. And the taste... even more jesus!

Can. Very black with a tan head that’s soon at the rim. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma is a bit cherry chocolate cake batter-ish but there are woody and herbal hints too. Much less sweet than suggested with dark fruit and lots of spicy oak really trampling over the dessert stout threat. Good - I want to say just shades the original, but it’s been a decade, so who‘m I trying to kid?
