23rd August 2020 Clear amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles never even suggest they might form a head. Light palate, smooth, decent fine carbonation. Smooth but light malts, a nice creamy caramel here, strong but not even approaching sickly sweet. Nice brandy soaked fruits go very well. Touches of prune, fig and licorice. A modest spice on the slightly soft finish. A sweet barleywine but it has some depth to, the most important thing is that it has that hard to define drinkability factor. It goes down very easily.

Metalig, butterscotch, vrij zoet.

330ml bottle. Wonderful, clear, dark ruby colour with small, creamy, fading, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty and slightly fruity aroma, notes of caramel, some cherry, hints of plum, marzipan, honey, a touch of Sherry, Port, Marsala. Taste is sweet, malty and fruity, notes of caramel, cherry, some plum, marzipan, honey, Sherry, Port, Marsala; well hidden alcohol. Oily to viscous texture, super-soft, smooth and silky, slightly cloying palate, soft carbonation. Nice sipper with very nice fruity aspects and acceptable sweetness.

Magus, mõru, karamell, alks, mõru humalad. Ok, veits rohmakas barley wine, aga mitte halb.

Deep copper colour, small off-white head. aroma: caramel, candy, dried fruit, fairly vinous. Full body. Taste: candy, caramel malts, dried fruit, wax, light alcohol. Low to light bitterness. Fairly decent but not an easy drinker.
