Brown with a tall, frothy head that lingers. Big, sweet toffee aroma with a strong, dank note that fades over time, disappearing into a more appealing plum aroma. Taste is sweet with a mild berry jam tartness. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, texture a touch watery. The wateriness takes over the finish, leaving a lasting impression of sweetened and watered-down plum juice. Quite drinkable, but flawed.

Flesje gedronken tijdens vakantie. Donker roodbruin bier met mooie beige schuimkraag die als een film blijft liggen. Aroma van karamel en drop. Smaak van karamel, pruimen en hop. Nasmaak van hop en karamel.

23 June 2021. At Slot Oostende, Goes. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of raisin (a lot), fig, date, brown rum, toffee, sugared peanuts. Taste has sweet raisin & fig over toffee & peanut maltiness, bit syrupy with a herbal tea edge. Herbal hoppy finish, dried fruit, tea, toffee, warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Very nice to drink, good sipper.

Bottle at home. Pours deep ruby amber, nose is malty toffee, meaty, grass, herbs, some berries, taste is sweet, fruity, salty, smoke meat, caramel, slightly roasted.
