A bold, hoppy pale with a hint of Linden to blow away the blues. Linden is prolific in Pontcanna and has been used for hundreds of years to cure many ails. Hops: Admiral, goldings, chinook & centennial.

Pours a lightly hazed golden colour with a small, thin, frothy white head. The aroma is floral with some malty notes. A light sweet malty taste, sweet malts, white bread, flowery, tea, and sweet herbal flavours with a light drying herbal bitterness.

Bottle from Pugh's Food Hall, Morganstown, near Cardiff. Apparently made with Linden tree flowers - no idea what they're meant to taste like, but nice to have an addition that's new to me. Deep gold with a white head and, despite careful pouring, a little lumpy sediment. Decent mouthfeel, smooth and quite full. Flavour is sweet, spicy and floral up front with some caramel and lemon following. Just the right amount of bitterness to finish. A decent, traditional-ish golden ale. Enjoyed it.
