Dark brownish black, nice head. Smell is softly sweet, chocolate, booze filled bonbons. Body is fairly thin, but not boozy at all. Taste has lots of chocolate, nutella, some coconut and a nice dose of bourbon. Dangerously easy, but too thin.

Bottle, 650 ml shared with Max, Miro B and Zec. Black with beige head. Lots of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, intensive, medium to heavy sweetness. Low carbonation. Viscous oily texture. Medium to full bodied.

Bottle from a friend - nearly black pour with a thin ring of white lace - there is an espresso and tobacco quality from the stout that overpowers the other nuances of the beer (too high in the mix), even as it warms - plumy malt qualities and light Belgian yeast from the quad come through the middle - a light acidity in the tail end balances the sweetness - slight toffee barleywine in the finish - warming but not boozy alcohol - really good on the whole - would like those stout qualities dialed down.

Bottled 06/22/2020. almost black color, small tan head. smells herbal, spices, nettle, some bitter chocolate, after a while some cinnamon, specoloos, cookie dough. nice to very nice smell, full body, soft carbonation. tastes of cinnamon, spices, bit herbal, bit boozy, bit sweet, specoloos, cookie dough. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of spices, cinnamon and cookie dough. bit heavy on the sweet spices, in general rather sweet. barrel aging not noticeable. still quite good stuff overall but expected a bit more 8 ,4, 7, 3, 15

650 ml bottle, canned (sic!) 06/22/20, no. 2436/3400, shared by Sander, thanks! Black body, with a, small, creamy, beige head. Aroma of freshly grinded coffee, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, some sweet spices, some dark fruits, slight soy sauce. Tastes pretty similar. Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes quite boozy, roasty, a bit sweet, with coffee, tobacco, sweet spices, dark chocolate, some soy sauce. Very nice. Quite prominent coffee notes, while the barrel is quite subtle. A bit boozy. Very nice sipper. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15
