Brewing a very common but very difficult style, a Czech Pilsner! Czech hops is the star in the brew with a bitterness closer to and IPA and not a lager! Malts and lager yeast esters provide the background for this hop forward brew!

No filteration or pasteurization, lagering the beer for a whole of 3 months!

It's a true lager in every way and the drinkability is almost terrifying!

Bottle from a liquor store in Patras, drink at our hotel nearby. Mostly clear orange gold, very tall and fine head that lasts amazingly well. Dry crisp nose with some citrus hints. The flavor is great, a bit of caramel behind a dry, long, and ultra smooth earthy-piney bitterness. Very creamy mouthfeel partly due to the fine carbonation. I suspect excellent control of water minerals is key to how great this beer is.

Bottle picked up from Kykao Brewery, big thanks to Kostas's for spending so much time with us. Consumed at home Wednesday 23rd September 2020. Pours hazy light gold with a mid sized white head. Crisp and refreshing with a nice mineral, flinty edge to this, lengthy bitter and dry finish, really good.
