Since we enjoy great, truly hand-crafted beer and finest maté likewise we combined these two passions and created this unique maté beer. High-quality, organic maté hand-picked by our friends from META MATE Bar in Berlin gives this typical German Pilsner an exotic and refreshing taste.

Draught. Tobacco aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Stable creamy white head. The flavour is teaish with a bit of tobacco note, but not very bitter.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow to orange. Small white head. Aroma is light floral to herbal. Fruity, perfumed. Teaish. Mild sweet, slight grassy to teaish. Dry and slight herbal finish.

Aroma is sweet slightly buttery herbal grainy bread. Taste is drinkable chewy malt with balanced sweet and bitterness. Quite nice actually.

Tap. Unclear golden color with white head. Aroma is indeed mate, but incorporated nicely with grainy Pils flavours and grassy hops. Taste is grainy, mate flavours, very nice balance. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. A pleasant surprise!

24-11-18 // taster at 4. CraftBeerMesse Mainz. Clear goldenn mate tea like nose. Tea aromatic mate definitely in the aroma. Solid.

Sampled @ Craftbier Messe Mainz 2018. A clear pale golden beer with a mid-sized off-white head. Aroma of dry grassy hops, hay, herbs. Taste of dry grainy malt, hay, pale malt, mild bitterness.
