By uniting two of the region's dedicated food producers, we have chosen to pay tribute to a legendary vessel that in a way also united people from both sides of the fjord.
When my father was a boy in the 90s, the ferry "Sorte Louis" sailed locals and tourists between Hvide Sande and Ringkøbing. The ferry has had something of a stormy history and today functions as a boat restaurant in Aarhus.
The porter has a lovely, subdued aroma and taste from the smoked malt, as well as a pleasant aftertaste from the raw spirit.

Huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice small head. Roasty-malty aroma. Starts intense roasty malty, some chocolate, some wood. Light caramel hints. Finish milder, still warming-malty. Not bad.

0.5 l bottle from the brewery, best before September 2023. Black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of caramel, cocoa, hazelnut and coffee. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, hazelnut, caramel and hints of vanilla, followed by a short, gently roasty-bitter, slightly earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice Porter, really well-brewed, quite saturating for only 6.5%.

0,5 l bottle from the fish shop next to the brewery. Black in the glass, with a steady two finger dark beige head. Malty choco smell, little bit roasted. Taste is roasted malty, boozy elements, low fruity, dry barrel wood.

Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, nuts, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost opaque black with only a vague tint of orange and a small, beige head. Roasty nose with a vague, peaty hint. Medium body, roast and chocolate, again vaguely peaty with no real bitterness. A decently drinkable Porter if a little vague considering the 6.5%. 120621
