€-Flascherl (as Hoppe-Bräu Bock): Clear, deep ruby-amber coloured, slowly collapsing off-white head; moderate sweetish nose of dark malt and molasses, delicate traces of chocolate; medium bodied, a bit fizzy, moderate and astonishingly dry (for a Dunkler Bock )bitter-sweet flavour; slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish with flavours of molasses, chocolate and dark malt. Not my style, nevertheless a well crafted Bock...

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Consumed at home Attenkirchen, Wednesday 17th April 2019 whilst listening to Vic Galloway on 6 Music (yes the internet is finally sorted) and after a Toad in the Hole with Alpen Käsetrainer taking the place of a British Banger/Sausage. Pours chestnut in colour with a thin off white head, nice carbonation. A jolly pleasant bock, there is caramel, a little nutty, nice dark fruits, a little cocoa powder. Enjoying this.

Dunkler, süßlich würziger Beginn ohne Karbonisierung. Süffig, wenig herb, etwas langweilig. Okay. 10/9/8/9//9
