Warm dry hopping with traditional Hallertau hops and Spalter Select. The dark special beer has been convincing the palate of pampered beer drinkers for years with its finely coordinated brewing malt mixture, already in the first taste with a harmoniously balanced full-bodied character.
Trivia: As the beer of the traditional "ghost walk" of the Nittenau theatre and festival association, it reminds us of the ghost legend of the Stockenfels castle ruins, where, according to legend, all deceased beer brewers, innkeepers and waiters, who ever splashed beer, have to wander around as ghosts.

Nittenauer Stockenfelser Geisterbräu, Flasche von REWE, Neunburg vorm Wald. - Kastanienrot, klar. - In der Nase dunkles Malz mit Bitterschokolade, weinige und säuerliche Züge, Anklänge an Sauerkraut, milde krautige Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk kräftig dunkelmalzig und angenehm trocken mit milder Röstnote (Malzkaffee). Sehr dezente herbale Hopfung. Durchschnittlich rezent. Im Abgang feine Malzbittere und schwache Hopfenherbe. - Elegant malziges Dunkles, leider viel zu schüchtern gehopft. (8.10.2019.)

Bottle. Clear deep amber color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, grainy, earthy, a touch herbal. Taste is chocolate, milk chocolate, light grains. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Quite tasty.

Bottle at GBBF 2018. Clear dark brown colour. Lasting tan head. Some chocolate on the aroma. Clean in the mouth. Light hop but it's there. Some toast. Very drinkable. Slight carbonic bite on finish .Decent. V drinkable. Good light chocolate.

ABV: 5.3%. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt, bread, light toasted - roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and ligt moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, bread, hay, sweet malt, toasted, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180810]

Bottle from bier-kaufen.de. Hazy dark colour, beige creamy foam. Nose of bready, toast, light roasted malts, some caramel. Easy drinkable. Very nice Dunkles.

Thanks Sandi! Poured a dark ruby body with an off white head. Fruity, malty aroma, figs, a touch of earthy yeastiness perhaps. Dark malts in the taste,sweetish, fruity maltiness. Very lean and clean, a bit watery, a bitterish touch in the finish. Actually nice enough.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts fine malty, spicy, more and more roasty, mild dry notes. Well balanced finish, dry-malty. Nice.

Clear amber brown colour, small but very stable frothy off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, coffee, bit nutty. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramellish. Medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste mild sweet joined by some light malty bitterness and coffee notes in the finish, nice Dunkel.
