Bottle from Beerhunter111, thanks! Copper color. Plum, floral notes in the aroma. Malty bready sweet flavor with floral notes, plum and a hint of licorice. Full bodied, quite tasty.

33cl bottle. A clear amber beer with a small beige head. Aroma of very grainy caramelized malt. Taste of mild sweet caramelized malt, grains, nuts.

Amber. Aroma is hay malty, some light hops, a little caramel, traces of apple. Taste is harsh sweetness and not so much else. Medium drinkable. Ok.

Bottle. Clear deep amber color with small white head. Aroma is grains, nutty, caramel, lightly earthy. Taste is herbal, grainy, nutty. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Alright!

“Schwind Bräu Festbock“, Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Schönes Kupferrotbraun, klar, wenig Schaum. - In der Nase Toastmalz, Karamel und Rosinen, eingebettet in bocktypische alkoholische Schwere; schwache Anklänge an Portwein, sehr schwache, vage krautige Hopfennoten. - Antrunk massiv toastmalzig mit schwerer Malzsüße, gebranntem Zucker und Rosinen, die von etwas derber Hopfenherbe grundiert werden. Feinere Hopfenaromen fehlen leider, wodurch der Bock etwas billig wirkt. Durchschnittlich rezent, vollmundig aber nicht breit. Im Abgang vage, schwach ranzige Hopfenherbe und strenge Malzbittere. - Vielversprechender roter Bock, der trotz schöner Malzigkeit durch vage Hopfung unbefriedigend bleibt.

Schön braune Farbe, nicht ganz so rötlich wie der Josefator. Der Antrunk ist toll vollmundig und sehr malzig-dunkel. Zum Hauptteil gesellt sich zu der angenehm malzigen Süße eine sehr schön abgestimmte Herbe, die zum Nachgeschmack zwar mild wird, aber dennoch wahrnehmbar bleibt. Der Nachgeschmack ist lang anhaltend, malzig-herb-süßlich, sehr angenehm.

Leicht malziger und deutlich zu süßer Antrunk. Das Bier scheint aufgrund der Süße noch nicht genügend gereift. Im Mittelteil sehr mild malzig-herb, weich. Sie spärlich vorhandene Würzigkeit wird regelmäßig von der Süße übertroffen, weshalb keine richtige Bockbier Stimmung aufkommen kann. Zum Ende wenig herber, alkoholisch süß. Verbesserungswürdig! Bottle 33cl. @ home.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, sugar, bread and rosted malt notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20090603]
