North-South Divide is a punchy IPA fermented with Kveik yeast (pronounced K-VIKE). Originating in Norway, Kveik yeast gives undertones of funky pineapple.
To complement this we've put together a combination of our favourite hops, Galaxy, Sabro, Idaho 7 and Citra.
This results in a juicy IPA packed full of tropical fruit aromas, with hints of pine and light bitterness.

Can from Morrisons. Pours a hazy gold, moderate sized foamy long lasting head, leaves a nice top and lacing. It has that classic earthy kviek yeast aroma but also quite fruity and floral with the hops, pineapple, mango and alcohol notable. Flavours go in all directions at first. Yeasty, pineapple, overripe citrus, zest, passionfruit, pine bitterness, some caramel, pepper. Medium to full bodied, chewy, soft carbonation, Its an extremely well made complex fruity noted beer. However, like all kviek pales I've tried the yeast overrules the malt and it just lacks a moreish element which makes me want another one. Difficult to rate.

Keg @ Bombay Brew, Rochdale. Dirty dark amber brew with a head, but not meant in a derogatory way as it looks ok. Fruity with an extremely mild darker malt-hop influence. Its fruitiness remains most prominent though with its strength fairly hidden.

Can shared at Murphy's Law. Hazy dull golden with white head. Very dank weedy hops, dry dusty spices, oats, oak, light yeasty, a touch of caramel malts. Medium sweet and bitter. A bit watery. Meh.

Cloudy blond colour and lasting lacy head. Aroma and flavour have lots of the dryness of fruit skins. Particularly yellow stone fruits. Also a type of grape must dryness. Well balanced and does seems different to many other IPA's of recent times.

440ml can. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a big, rich, dry yeasty, orange tangerine citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can picked up from Morrisons, Belper Derbyshire and consumed at Jude and Bazs listening to Bicep - Isles, cooking Feta, Tomato and Gnocchi tray bake, Thursday 14th October 2021. Pours hazy yellow with a white head, some tangy citrus, orange and grapefruit juice, yeast is a little bit front of shop, malt subtle. Good.

Cloudy golden beer, thick white head. Light, fruity aroma. Flavour has grapefruit, citrus, perhaps a little coconut. A bit yeasty and bready too. Decent.
