Carbonation issues here. Ever-growing tan foamy head on a dark brown coloured body. Dark chocolate, malt & roasted aroma. Medium bodied, foamy dry & clean. Malt, burnt, chocolate & roasted tastes with a bitter finish. Lovely livener after yesterday's all-dayer around Hebden Bridge.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, conker brown. Thin, dense and messy, lasting, light tan head. Nose has coffee malt. Chocolate fudge. Notes of date and prune. Bonfire toffee. Taste is up front sweet, with a decent heft of roast malt bitterness. Smooth on the palate with a medium body. Fine carbonation. Lingering roast malt bitterness to finish. Great porter. Very robust.
