Bottle from Pivný raj Pours hazy reddish with fluffy white head. Sour feelings on a nose. Tastes sour, berries, bitter tail. I don't get the Christmas feeling but fine.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.1%. Brewed with redcurrants, cherries and prunes. Very cloudy pinkish colour, large off-white / pale pinkish head. Strong aroma of said fruits / berries, also lactic acid. Flavour of lactic acid and sour fruits / berries, esp. redcurrants. Moderate but noticeable hops. Fairly nice beer.

Taster from tap at Be Orthodox, Bratislava. Hazy reddish purple, small off-white head. Aroma is mostly fruity, juicy, red fruit, light metallic, light malts. Red wine, alcohol present, quite metallic. Moderate sourness, fruit jam, very dry. Medium body. Lasting finish. A bit messy but an all around flavour experience. Harsh on the alcohol and a metallic touch.

500 ml can into tulip glass, best before 8/29/2019. A bit of a gusher can. Pours opaquely hazy dark ruby red/purple/pink color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy/soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, red currants, prunes, fruit skin/pits, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, berries, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of cherries, red currants, prunes, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, red currants, prunes, fruit skin/pits, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, berries, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, herbal/grassy bitterness, and yeast/fruit tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cherries, red currants, prunes, fruit skin/pits, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, berries, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, white bread dough, peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, red currants, prunes, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/tartness, and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium-plus body; with a smooth, creamy, bready, sticky, acidic, tangy, tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.1%. Overall this is an awesome fruited Berliner weisse. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, red currants, prunes, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; smooth and easy to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/sticky/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Awesome balance of jammy cherry/currant/prune fruits and Brett/Lacto complexity; and a great bready malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering bitter/tart/tangy dryness. Not nearly as amazing as the other Ton series beers I've had; a bit too bitter/drying, but still delicious. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example otherwise.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 29A/23A). Can 50 cl - Batch VF2143 (BBF 29/08/19). AROMA: medium-low to low cherry notes followed by faint redcurrants. medium sour background. APPEARANCE: dark pink-orange and opaque. excessive light pink head with good retention. TASTE: initial medium-low to low cherry flavor, followed by very faint redcurrant. medium neutral sour background. medium bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: light body with very high carbonation. OVERALL: a berliner weiss with added fruit where the sourness starts to impair the palate, giving it a unidimensional character (cherry mainly).

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Muddy orange body, frothy beige-pinkish head. Solid lacing. Smell of ripe citrus and cherries. Slightly perfumed taste character of cherries and strawberries, hints of citrus. Tart and sweet ending. So and So. Not a favourite. (Tromsø 18.01.2019).
