The 3rd in our Palindrome series of IPAs exploring small changes to the same recipe. This time around we’re fermenting with Brux Trois yeast which produces amazing flavours of pineapple, overripe fruit and funkiness. 4 different hops are used in the dry hop to bring lots of tropical fruit and citrus for a unique funky IPA experience.

Sample thanks to Danlo: Poured an orange golden with a creamy big white head. Aroma is danky, hops, fruit, citrus. Taste is funky, evergreen, citrus, fruity, floral, yeast.

19/2/2022. Can sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear dark gold with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is funky, dank, hoppy, stone fruits, tropical fruit, sweet malt. Medium plus sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Typically good S43 beer.

440ml can from Wobbly Duck. #100 S43 rating. Slightly hazy yellow gold colour, big foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of fruity funk, floral, hops, citric rind hint. Taste is sweetish, pale malt, juicy fruits, mango & pineapple, with funky notes, yeast, citric, and then hop bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel medium bodied, soft carbonation, hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can from Hoptimism. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are pineapple, tropical and resin. Slight funky. Smooth body.

A really nice and tasty hop juice. But the yeast was really active in this one. A real gusher. But a hard fast pour fixed it. Cloudy yellow in the glass and a big head. Good lacing Fine intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and an ok carbonation when everything calmed down Citric hoppy, fruity, pine and yeast in the flavor [Can from Vinmonopolet Amfi Borg in Sarpsborg, Norway]

440ml can from Vinmonopolet City Nord in Bodø. Shared with Finn. Gusher! Rocky white head, muddy orange body, fair lacing. Restrained smell of peaches and citrus. Hop fruity taste of peaches and pineapple. Moments of dried fruit to a bittersweet finish. Satisfying.(Bergstua, Malangen 15.06.2021).

Delt med Rune på Bergstua. Ekstremt hissig. Gusjegrågulbrun. Veldig uklar. Aroma av aprikos & sitron. Smaken ananas. Tørr avslutning.
