Das “Michala” ist ein dunkles, vollmundiges Kellerbier.
Es ist naturbelassen und unfiltriert. Im Gegensatz zu vielen seiner “Artgenossen” ist es nicht nicht so malzig und damit nicht so süß.

Bottle from 'The Trembling Madness'. Pours a murky dark amber colour with a reddish hue and a large throthy off-white head. Aromas of grains, toasty bread and caramel. Taste is the same notes again with some added nuts and brown sugar.. Full body, average carbonation with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Very nice tasty Keller.

Pours dark amber to light red, semi-hazy. A couple of fingers of a dense and stable slightly off-white head. Good persistence and excellent lacing. Quite vivid and well defined/clean aroma shows caramel and nutty malts, ripe red fruits and a kind of tea-like/leafy hop bitterness. Smells like autumn. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, perhaps in a slightly less impressive but still good intensity and definition. Overall this is medium to high sweet and medium bitter, with a slight sweet edge in the mouth and a balanced, semi-dry finish, with a leafy hops aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with low to medium, fine carbonation. Feels quite smooth but also kind of creamy/soft. A very good beer.
Update march 2025: had it a couple of times after the first review and it felt much less impressive. Still very much an easy drinker as per style, not that creamy or soft. A little rough around the edges. Taste notes still more or less as per original review.

Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy amber body with thin off-white head that quickly fades. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of caramel and red fruits. Flavour of lightly roasted malt and stewed red apple. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. This tastes better than it looks. It’s sweet and moreish.

Bottle, bought @ the brewery. Amber color. Toffee and a hint of licorice in the aroma. Werthers Original. Malty sweet flavor with licorice, toffee and Werthers Original. Long licorice finish. Just a bit thin, but a tasty beer.

Tap at the 2019 Franconian Beer Festival. Very hazy amber-red-orange color with a thick head. Grain, spicy malt nose. Spicy, earthy falvor, caramel, bread, toast, nuts. Great malt character. Lovely.
