Klare rötliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Süß malziger, röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit dunklen Früchten und Karamell. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

Bottle from the Low Cost Beer online shop. At 8% Pours clear dark amber with a thick beige head. Aromas of caramel, toasted malt, dried fruit. Taste is brown bread and fruitcake. Light sweet honeyed finish.

Bottle from the Beer Cave. Appearance - deep amber to brown with a nicely proportioned off-white head. Nose - malt loaf, toffee and bran flakes. Taste - tangy orange, burnt toffee and chewy malt loaf. Palate - creamy and medium bodied, tangy sweetness through the middle then a relatively dry finish. Overall - good stuff.

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours a clear mahogany colour with a large thick creamy light beige head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake, caramel and cherries. Taste has all the notes detected in the aroma. Very fruity with more fruit cake, cherries and caramel with a hint of burnt brown bread on the sweet finish. Full body, low carbonation and smooth slightly sticky mouthfeel. Excellent Doppelbock definitely one of the best i have tried. Recommended.

A really nice doppelbock this. Looks perfect, clear, dark amber with a good head. Smells of malty caramel. Flavour has that too. Lots of malt, sweet caramel, maybe a hint of spice, a hint of hop. Nice, sweet toasty finish.
