Holzfass at the Holzfass-Festival. Hazy brown color with beige head. Aroma is vineous, liquor, chocolate, mon chéri. Taste is pecan nuts, chocolate, cinnamon, super pastry, but somehow in a natural way. Smooth mouthfeel with low carbonation. How can a standard Doppelbock, albeit barrel-aged, be so ridiculously pastry-stout like? I love it!

Tap at the Ettaler Holzfass festival. Nutty pastry notes. Murky brown, medium body mellow, Nusschnecke, cinnamon, broad nutty notes on the Doppelbock base. Really fun.
