After a few years of home brewing in our garage, my brother and I decided we should open a brewery so that we could share our beer. In 2009 we started with a one barrel system and worked on a single recipe, over and over, until Peeper was born. And now we have enough to share. Cheers!

Unbelievable, from out of nowhere, or Maine, comes this truly delicious pale ale. An aroma so nice it makes you tongue water, and looking at this one in a pint glas will make you remember why you love beer. The taste is like angels pissing in your mouth, ok, that last one was over the line, this is one of the best beers ive ever had.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp mango and peachy hops. Bitter, citrusy and crisp mango to peachy. Bitter, citrusy and peachy. Lingering fruity and peachy finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Comes as "Maine Peeper Ale". Pours a clear deep golden with a frothy and creamy off-white head leaving some lacework. Very fresh tropical fruit aroma from the hops - almost perfumy. Light in body - almost thin - very dry fruitiness but dominated by the perfumy hops. Ends dry if not overly hoppy. Very quaffable but personally I believe I would’ve preferred the residual sweetness a little higher. 150311

Pours deep amber into a tulip. Bright white conglomerate head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Dark caramel, resin and grapefruit aromas. Dry with upfront biscuit and resin followed by a lasting bitter grapefruit pith finish.

Mfg 12/17/2010 sampled 2/12/2010 so this bottle is about 2 months old. Pours a slightly cloudy golden amber color with a good sized fluffy white head that takes its time receding. Smells of citrus; lemons and tart orange abound with hints of bread and mineral water. Taste follows the aroma with Pine and citrus mixed with a bready lightly caramel malt base. Finish is quite dry with a lingering citrusy hop bite. Medium level of carbonation, medium to thin body with a resinous mouthfeel. Wow. I am rather impressed with this beer. I find it a tad thin, but otherwise this is a fantastic flavorful easy drinker. This one does straddle the line between APA and IPA. If I didn’t have to travel to another state to get this, I might drink this a lot more often.

This pours a slightly hazy, deep copper color, white head that laced nicely all he way down to the bottom. The nose is delightfully citric with bits of grapefruit, hops and yeast. The taste is pleasantly mild and lightly bitter with soft floral notes.The mix of hops they used is a very nice blend. Medium in body with very high, aggressive carbonation. I NOT a fan of super hoppy beers BUT, this has no bitterness in the after taste. They have inspired me to try other recipes they brew, well done Gentleman!

Bottle Picked up at Whole Foods in Portland. Pours out a cloudy straw topped with a tall cream head. Aroma was nice fresh floral and citrus hops along with some light grass. Taste was much as the aroma a nice mellow hop. A very fresh and crisp Pale Ale.

16oz bottle-pours a big foamy, shaving cream white head and cloudy yellow/gold color. Aroma is sweet resin/orange, some light malt. Taste is slightly sweet resin/orange/tea hops, some light malt-bread, yeast. Soft carbonation.

50cl bottle at the DC Local tasting. Pours a hazy, ginger ale color with a frothy white head. Aroma is classic APA, hops, light citrus, a little musty. Flavor is sweet, oranges, caramel, light pine. Finish is sweet, lightly bitter.
