Tight fluffy tan head stayed on a thin dark brown body. Malt & bitter berry aroma. Medium bodied thinning to the back with a light airy feel. Bitter/Sweet tasting with peach, sugar, berries, liquorice & aniseed with a fruity finish.

Bottle from Dollarton LRS, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour. Footy, yeasty, some carboard, some cocoa; this is not right for a beer. Light body, weak, light caramel flavour.
Boring, and not very pleasant.

Dark brown, no head. Toasty with some caramel accents. Thin, bland...this is missing both malts and hops. Just some coffee and toast. Nothing going on here at all.

330mL bottle, pours a murky dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and oxidation. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and oxidation. Oxidized and lacking body -- certainly not a stout. Very lame.

330ml bottle. Pours an unclear dark brown with amber hue as chunks of yeast sink to the bottom and a small, creamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, bread, dark chocolate and light licorice. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, ash, caramel, licorice and prune with a dry, mild bitter, coffee finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Easy drinking, average.

Tap. Doughy roast, dark brown, amber lace, mellow light chewy medium light body. Very nice balance, bready roast, nice herbal notes, very nice drinkable and well balanced.
