bottle, purchased at the brewery. Hazy golden, mid-sized white head. Lovely malty nose. Full-bodied, superb malt flavours witrh nice aromatic hops, almost like in a good Bohemian Pilsener. Good stuff.

Tap at the brewpub. Aroma is mostly hoppy, noble hops. Clear golden colour, stable white head. Taste is balanced most of the way. Got both hops and malt flavours, but invokes kind of basement aromas in me. In the finish it leans more to the bitter hoppy side, which lends to the dirnkability. Moderate carbonation. Again an average good beer, only lacks a bit more soul.

At the Brewpub. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is smooth with fine minerally carbonation. Trace of caraway nuttiness. Forensic trace of fruits. Finishes fresh.

Tap @ Brewpub, Vienna. Day 1 RBESG 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Hoppy nose. A bit of diacetyl. Grainy and yeasty. Medium bodied. Some DMS and cabbage. Ok

In Österreich wird unter dem Titel Märzen ein klassisches, helles Lagerbier verkauft, das manchmal etwas voller schmeckt wie manch tschechisches Zwölfgrädiges. Dieses ist aber ein Märzen nach altem Schlag: Dunkel bis bernseinfarben und schön malzig. Nicht nur eine Freude für die Wespen, die mir beim Biertrinken Gesellschaft geleistet haben.

RBESG ’12, Vienna. On tap at the brewpub. Clear light amber colour, white head. Aroma of light veggies, caramel, light fruity. Flavour is again light veggies, light toasted malts, nuts, light toasted bitter finish. Light-bodied. OK.

Tap @ brewery during RBESG 2012. Clear dark orange appearance with a tan head. Veggie, toasty malty, dms aroma. Cooked corn, toasty malty, cracker flavor. Not good.
