Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a hint of amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sour red currant supported by a hint of oak and grains. Flavor is full of sour currant with an acidic bite and a touch of sweet grain backing.

375 ml bottle, released Aug 2017. Shared by PowY, thanks!
Red-purple, hazy body, with a tiny, yellowish head.
Aroma of barnyard funk, dark berries, wine barrel, some vanilla.
Tastes quite similar, with more barrel, some vinegar.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium dry, medium sour, wooden, fruity, a bit vinegary, a bit vinous, with dark berries.
Very nice. Complex and very fruity, more on the sour side, but still well balanced. Lovely stuff, as always from Almanac.

0,375l bottle at home shared by Powy, big thanks. Released 08/2017. copper cloudy color, small white head. smells of light currant notes, marzipan, nutty, some more berry notes, bit lactic, earthy, bit herbal. nice to very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes herbal, estragon, some berry notes, nutty, marzipan, grassy, hints of currants, lactic, wood, some (red) wine barrel notes, peppery. finishes rather dry and lightly sour with notes of light currant notes, herbs and some (red) wine barrel notes. Very nice one, very smooth, good balance of the sourness, just a tad lactic. Berry notes are quite subtle.
Straightforward sour with currant and spice notes.

Sample at Beer Meets Wood on 09/23/2017. Hazy reddish-mahogany color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of tart fruit, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of currant jam, yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately sour with a blackcurrant aftertaste. Good beer overall.

Bottle. Pours very hazy dark magenta-pink, small white bubbly head, dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is a bit light, berries, oak, funk, tart berries. Flavor is medium tart and lightly funky. Medium body, low carbonation. Lacking the pop I have come to expect from Almanac.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very hazy red with a pink smear. Aroma is a mix of mild sour and currant. Med body or so. Flavor is slightly sour fruit, and it may as well be currant cause other berries don't seem to fit. It's a bit earthy and woody too. Perhaps even a little musty. Very nice sour.

On Tap hazy redish amber. Light beige head and lots of coarse sticky lacing, Big full berry jam-like fruit flavors. Tanic and woody sour character. Dry and a sturdy 7%+ makes it serious Sme flanders personality as well.

375 mL bottle poured. Thanks Tom! Darker red pour, grape juice like. No head. Mixed berry like fruit aroma. Wine like notes in the flavor. Dry oak. Hold flavor. Slight fruit sweetness. Lighter sourness. Pleasant and flavorful. Enjoyed this.

On tap at Almanac, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out tart currants, with medium acidic and a touch of oak. Flavour is intensely acidic, with lots of red currants, oak and intense tartness. Harsh and super acidic. Not an elegant sour.
