0.75 l bottle shared, 9.6% ABV version. Pours dark copper with thin head. Nose and taste are sweet; boozy, malty, there's walnut and a hint of vanilla too. Closes with medium lasting sweet finish, has light body (in fact too light) and soft carbo. Wouldn't be bad, but quite thin altogether.

From bottle at Wiener Bierfest.
Copper-brown, hazy body, with a big, creamy, lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of dried fruits, cherries, caramel, cocoa, whisky, some bread, some black tea.
Tastes quite similar, with more smooth cocoa and toffee, subtle booze.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smooth, a bit warm, a bit astringent, moderate sweet, wooden, with cocoa, toffee, dark fruits, some whisky.

Really nice. Quite heavy and a bit boozy, but still comfortable to drink, with a nice combination of fruits, dark malts and not too dominant barrel notes. Not among the best barrel aged beers I’ve had from Austria, lacking the last bit of character maybe, but still interesting.

brown color, small off white head. smells of ripe fruits, sherry, bit oxidized, some sweetness. nice smell. Full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes sweet, light fruit notes, cardboard, bit oxidized, honey, lightly peppery, spices. finishes rather sweet with notes of honey, oxidation and ripe fruits. not a fan, rather heavy, lacks any kind of complexity. too sweet. not much barrel noticeable.
