Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks zvsn. Brown. Aroma of smoked sausages, caramel, nuts, a bit of fruity esters. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, nuts, smoked sausages. Medium-bodied. Good.

0,33l bottle at home. BB 12.02.2017. almost black color, small tan head. smells of milk chocolate, smoky, earthy, light bacon, bitter herbal. quite nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, earthy, some smoke, caramel, light sherry notes, light coffee notes. finishes lightly sweet with notes of earth, caramel and light chocolate notes. very nice one, I quite like it, balance of the different flavours could be a bit better but overall still very nice.

330 ml bottle from Beer Store Vienna, bb 12.02.2017
Dark copper-brown body, with a small, creamy, beige head.
Aroma of smoked wood, bacon, caramel, chocolate, some dark berries.
Tastes of smoked wood, caramel, chocolate, some toast, some bacon, dark berries, tea, nuts.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smooth, smokey, wooden, a bit roasty-bitter, a bit dry, with liquorice, toast, some dark sweet malts.
Very nice. Quite smokey, but well balanced, with enough dark, sweet malts. The ABV is almost completely hidden, drinks really smooth. Overall not the best smoked or brown ale I’ve had, but enjoyable stuff nonetheless.
