Draught @ MBCC 2017. Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, chocolate, cocoa and earthy notes. Taste is malty, sweet and syrupy with some roastiness, caramel and cocoa. Finish is roasty and sweetish with some chocolate, coffee and earthiness. Okay.

Flavor is fairly sweet, malty, caramel, heavy licorice, light coffee, light chocolate. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet finish. Nice, but on the sweet side. 010317

Tap @ Mikkeller, Aarhus. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, caramel and hops. Nice sweet finish and full bodied.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Aarhus. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and light spicy. Flavor is quite sweet moderate bitter. Quite sweet finish with some spices. Oily and soft. Not really balanced and too sweet for my liking. 230217

Black body, with a small, dense, light brown head.
Aroma of coffee, cardamom, cocoa, caramel, some cocoa, some dark fruits.
Smooth taste of creamy coffee, chocolate, cocoa, sweet spices, liquorice, some vanilla, some caramel.
Full, oily to creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smooth, roasty, quite dry, a bit wooden, with cocoa powder, coffee, liquorice.

Tasty. The nose is a bit boring, but the taste is very nice, smooth, quite sweet. Not on par with their famous Stouts, but another really enjoyable one nonetheless.

Bottle No 71. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells bitter herbal, spices, light fruity / berry notes, coffee, chocolate, raspberries. very nice smell a bit too fruity. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of spices, coffee, berry notes, raspberries, licorice, light sweetness. finishes bitter / sweet with notes of raspberries and coffe and spices. very nice stuff. a bit on the sweet side, but nicely drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel aroma with hints of coffee. Roasted malty milk chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee vanilla finish.
