0,355l can at home. Canned 20.03.2025 black color, small coffee colored head. smells rum, earthy, spices, some soy sauce, peppery, some aromas. decent smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes spices, some soy sauce, some bitter chocolate, some sweetness, molasses, light maple, hints of banana. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of maple, banana and some molasses. gets a lot better once warmer. Rather heavy and sweet though. Not a bad beer, but also not a favorite.

2025 vintage @ 11%. 355 ml can. Pours a muddy black with disgusting overflow and ultimately no head. Aromas of vanilla, banana split, a bit of smoke and sweet slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same. Thick, sweet and sticky.

Flight at brewery. Pours black. Aromahas notes of roasted malt, milk chocolate, and a bit of banana. Flavour has a solid milk chocolate backbone with some banana and toasted malt. Well done pastry stout; sweet and rich without being overpowering.

Aug 14, 2024 (7/4/8/3/16=3.8): Poured from 473mL can (2024/03/20). This can seems to blend the banana flavour in with the roast and chocolate a little better. Closer to my original 2021 experience with it. Who knows if that's can variance, time spent aging, or simply different day - different palate. Decent high abv, pastry stout that lacks complexity, but makes up for it with a good value price point. Jun 18, 2024 (7/4/8/3/15=3.7): [new batch] Poured from 473mL can (pkg 2024/03/20; abv listed as 11% abv - new release). Black with beige head. Feint banana, some fruity character, mild roast. Okay. June 18, 2021 (7/4/8/4/16=3.9): Poured from 473mL can. Black with small light beige head. Chocolate, hint of roast, and just a touch of banana. Very nice.

Jet black with a small white head. Chocolate with a small cooked banana note. Rich chocolate and nice banana notes. Heavy rich chocolate with a nice rich finish. Nice.

Dark brown. Thin head. Mostly chocolate on the nose, actually. On the palate, chocolate and banana in there. Lots of sweetness, and the interplay of those two notes, maybe a touch of roast and alcohol, but it's basically straight up chocolate and banana.

Poured too high so no foam, has a dark brownish body that looks way too wet for a beer like this. Smells of vague banana, soft chocolate, seems weak but no alcohol present. Taste is chewy banana and chocolate syrup, soft coffee, ends full with no abv but rather wet. Tasty overall but could be thicker and brighter.

2021-06-18, can from the brewery, 7-4-9-4-17=41
Sweeter than I remembered, similar character, but it seems to have mellowed out, the banana seems more apparent; it's pretty great today.

Black colour, small tan head. The aroma is mild, some dark chocolate and some cream, a whiff of old books. It's full bodied, smooth, with chocolate flavour, cacao, milk; moderately sweet, hiding the alcohol. Compared to Indulgeousness (as it comes to mind), this one has less adjuncts, definitively less lactose (hence, without that slimy feeling), but it's more balanced and elegant.
Very well done.

473mL can, pours jet black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out milk chocolate, lactose, cocoa, and a touch of banana. Flavour is indeed like a banana chocolate milkshake, with loads of banana and milk chocolate dominating. Very chocolatey—and the banana works well somehow. Not too sweet, yet quite decadent. Impressively made. Excellent.

16oz @ home. Appearance: dark brown with a huge brown head. Aroma: lots of chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts. Taste: quite good body, sweet, lots of chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, light banana notes. I wouldn't even probably say it's banana if I wouldn't know it's there. Overall: a Russian Imperial Stout with cocoa, vanilla, and fruity character coming from bananas. Pretty good.
