Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer with a small, dense, white head. The aroma is fruity and with a distinct scent of some kind of grains. Some citrus notes. It’s medium bodied, smooth and a bit low on carbonation, some bitterness in the back. It’s quite bubble gum-ish, with yellow apples and some grass and grains. Mostly fruity and quite sweet finish. Drinkable indeed, but far from exciting. 161208

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, sorghum, yellow apples and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long yellow apple, wine gum and yeasty finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

75cl bottle sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew. These Mattias Müller entries need some serious fixing. Dorée, col blanc. Arôme au nez fruité, fleuri rétro malté avec une petite douceur rappelant le froment. Palais est malté avec un léger parfum de levure et froment. Le tout est agréablement bien fleuri avec un fini léger et épicé, amertume noble. L’épeautre confère peut-être plus de consistance.

50cl bottle as Hauzenberger Granit Weiße. Pours hazy orange golden colour with a huge good lating off-white head. Aroma is floral, yeasty, some fruits. Taste of spicy malt, clove, dry fruits, nothing special.

0.5 l bottle shared with Marko and Ogi. Thanks Ogi. Hazy orange. Medium white head. Medicinal or chlorine present in aroma. Yeast, dry fruits, maybe some banana. Light body, light to medium carbonation. Some sediment. Light sweetness. Weak finish. Not good.

As Hauzenberger Granit Weisse. Thanks Ogi! Shared with him and Hrabren. Murky dull apricot-ochre body, medium white head. Dry caramel-herbal aroma, yeasty. Papery, empty as fuck taste, perfumey, caramel. Erm, drinkable, chalky, not particularly enjoyable.

Bottle: Cloudy, golden, small and stable white head, sweetish-fruity (berries?) nose with a light tartness and a wheaty touch; mild sweet-sourish flavour, light bodied and soft; short sweetish-fruity finish, almost no tartness. Sigh! Drinkable......

(bottle, as Weißbräu Müller La Bianca) Hazy, pale golden colour with a big and blonde foamy white head. Yeasty, slightly sweet and acidic wheat-malty aroma with notes of citrus and green bananas. Citrus-fruity and wheaty taste, slightly acidic flavour, light bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Dry, fruity and acidic, slightly tart finish. Could be better rounded, at least a refreshing Weizen (15.II.09).
