Tap at Krüger Eck as Winterbock - since there are zero mentions online of a Winterbock and the description matches the Maibock fully, I'll go on a limb and say they just didn't want to sell a Maibock in February. Anyway. Hazy amber body, off-white head. Oily malty aroma, bit funky. Sweetish smooth taste, lean, dry, malty, aaand lightly infected. #yaaay. Not unpleasant, I can see it being a decent beer when not a Maibock in February...

6% abv. Magus, mõru, kuiv, linnaseline, räpane, viljane. Okish.

Towering yellow head over veiled amber-brown beer. Autumn leaves, caramel, banana, light roast. Bitter-ish, again autumn leaves, wood. Repeat toast/roast in a very light way. Suggestion of astringency, without it being really so. Feels well-bodied for 6%, served cold even refreshing. Actually a very good Bock, seen its colour, I'd call it Urbock. Thanks to Joren!

Flessa Bräu Maibock, 6 %, Fläschchen von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Goldbraun, hefetrüb; üppiger Schaum. - In der Nase fettes, schwer marmeladig-süßes toastig-dunkles Malz, leicht weizenbierig, mit herber Orangenschale, Orangenlikör und herbaler Hopfung. - Antrunk satt toastmalzig mit schwerem, herbem Dörrobst (Aprikose) und beträchtlicher krautiger Hopfenbittere. Mäßige, gleichwohl bocktypisch schwere Restsüße, etwas Waldhonig. Milder rezent, vollmundig; schön mitschwingender Alkohol. Gut krautig-bitterer Abgang mit leichter kühlender Minze und etwas Tabak. - Auf seine Weise doch Maibock-typisch, zwar zu dunkel aber schön wuchtig und frisch gehopft. Überzeugt! (8.6.2021.)

Flasche: Deep golden, almost clear, small and stable off-white foamy layer, moderate sweetish-bitter pale-malty nose with caramelly spots, mild but distinctive grassy to herbal hops in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering bitter and honeyish-malty finish, drier towards the herbal-grassy aftertaste.
