Tap at Valhalla Beer Club. Pitch black body, traces of an off white head. Chocolatey aroma, with some herbal touches, spicy notes perhaps from spices, though they feel lightly yeast-phenolic at moments, cloves mostly, tiny touches of butter. Lean, overly lean taste, minty, cloves, fennel? Trace chocolate. Nicely drinkable but very simple, just light chocolate near the finish. Okay.

Fin og fyldig porter, men noe syrlig bittert, sannsynligvis fra koking av krydder. Meg like.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is almost like putting your nose in a box of freshly baked gingerbread; cinnamon, ginger, dark syrup, caramel malts, nuts, nutmeg, grass, cloves, dark sugar, toffee. Taste is slightly dry spiced, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, grass, nuts, weeds, caramel malts, dark sugar, cinnamon, minerals, burnt caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice one.
