0.5 l bottle from the brewery, best before December 2025. Black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly fruity and a little spicy aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, whisky, cinnamon, vanilla, hazelnut and dark fruits. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty, gently spicy and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, hazelnut, whisky, vanilla, dark fruits and cinnamon, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, minimally woody, almost peppery finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely beer, great barrel-aging and pleasant usage of coffee and cinnamon. Glad I brought it home from vacation.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Dark black, no head. Mid sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Cinnanmon, dark berries, licorice, coffee and some wood. Peppery warming finish. Interesting flavours, but not fully in harmony. A bit sharp.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, beige. Very little impact of the barrel aging, subtle roast. Medium body, harsh roasty, slightly tart. Honestly, a little disappointing - base beer is simply too thin. 070521

Bottled. A black beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, dark chocolate, whiskey, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, dark chocolate, whiskey, roasted malt, and coffee, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.
