Sample (thanks fonefan!). Coppery amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and some berries, dried fruits and spiciness. Flavour is alcohol some dried fruits, raisins, quite a vintage kind of madeira feel to it. A slightly sharp alcoholic edge, but otherwise its rather sippable and enjoyable.

Bottled. A black beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of maple syrup, roasted malt, dried fruits, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, alcohol, malt, dried fruits, yeast, and wood, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque, dark brown with next to no head. Vague Bourbon aroma with overripe fruit and a tart edge. Medium body, low carbonation, overripe dark, dried fruit, red wine notes. There's a distinct, underlying tartness that suggests an infection. However, the beer still comes out quite interesting and enjoyable. 111221

Bottle, 12.4%. Citric aroma, some funk, port, spicy mead notes. Dark brown colour. Seems hazy. Fizzy, unstable head. The flavour is malty and slightly sweet with some acid to balance. Woody acid. Spicy mead again. Nicely funky. Red wine barrel notes.

ABV: 12.4%. Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, toasted - roasted, maple, sweet malt, moderate yeasty, belgian yeast, barrel, raisin, dark fruit - dried dark fruit, vinous - port - tawny. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, dark fruit, dried dark fruit, raison, plum, belgian yeast, candy, sweet malt, maple, vinous - port - tawny. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20210626]
