Can. Dark reddish brown with a beige head that fades to a coat. Aroma of dark bread, cherries, chocolate, slightly earthy spices. A little edge of singed caramel in the taste too but it's not all that sweet (is that why it's not a dunkel bock?) with the cherry and bread flavours coming through but the chocolate not so much. Then firmish bitterness. Tasty and unusual - although there are more dark lagers cropping up in Australia now than for many years.
