Stone Imperial Star Fawker Hazy IPA is loaded with Rakau & Citra hops for an intense blast of stonefruit and citrus flavors. And the aroma on this one is massive. As in, you-can-smell-the-hops-from-space massive.

This hazy double IPA is a follow up mission to Stone Viking Space Probe Hazy Double IPA, which also originally launched from Stone Brewing - Napa.

Can. An unclear golden with a beige head. The aroma has notes of exotic fruits, hops, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, spices, malt, and a bit of oranges, leading to a bitter finish.

Hazy and juicy. Overripe tropical fruits meets a brunch of hops. Nice bitter hoppy-resinous finish-a little old school. I like that.

Amber with a frothy, white head. Aroma full of caramel and citrus with an underlying dankness. Taste is bitter, almost acrid at the finish. Medium to full-bodied, chewy, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours hazy orange gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is intensely fruity and resinous. Body is on the dense side, oily, with fine white foam. Taste is medium-high bitter, with quite some sweetness behind. Final is long, markedly aromatic.

From a can this pours thick and viscous with a hazy almost orange eye. Smell of heavily alkied sweet cloying bullshit. From the start its super bitter. Its almost unbearable. Yes, its 9% but I really am suffering. My girlie lager loving taste buds are simply getting rototilled to death. Whew. Big thick mouth coating blast is over the top and down the sides. Surprisingly tho, even tho its quite volatile, there is a strange absence of a warming effect in the gullet. OK, about half way thru I think I'm starting to catch a slight dizzying feeling. Yes, quite nasty nellie but this feeling is making me a little happier about it. I was going to toss this in the drain because it was almost making me gag but this fun little feeling mysteriously makes me want to swig and gulp more. Go figger. There you have it. Sweet orange? You got to be kidding. It gets at least a 1 for the alky content, LOL!

From a 355ml can on 1/1/2021. Pours a hazy medium golden with a small head. The nose is strong and floral, with lots of honey, pine and fruity notes. Tastes just sensational - masses of orange, mandarin, apricot and honey, but also has big dollops of biscuit and caramel, which is rare for a hazy. Finishes with a pretty firm pine/resin bitterness, again a bit unusual for the style. Sumptuous mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a bit of Fear Movies Lions to it, bit better and more intense, which is saying something. Truly amazing.
