500ml bottle [as "Pearl Jet Stout"]. Darkest brown colour with small to average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Weak, roasty dark malty aroma with a nuttily touch, hints of dark chocolate. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, minimally metallic, diluted hints of dark chocolate and red currant.

500 ml bottle. Black to dark brown, cappuccino-coloured head. Looks impressive. Cocoa, smoked malt, dried fruits and nuts. Malty, not bitter, smoky and a bit sweet. Smooth. Flat carbonated, medium bodied. Creamy texture. Not bad.

From old tasting notes. Opaque brown black color. Thick, rocky tan head. Soft roasted malt aroma. Smooth, dryish toasted malt flavor lacks complexity and intensity.

0.5 l bottle from ’Kiosk Em Veedel’, best before November 2017. Opaque, black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Faint, sweetish-malty, a bit roasty and slightly grassy aroma of chocolate, coffee, licorice and a touch of grass. Slightly sweetish, malty, moderately roasty and a bit grassy taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and hints of hazelnut, followed by a short, medium roasty-bitter, rather dry and a bit grassy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay, easily drinkable, not too much flavour though.

Bottle. Deep brown to black, not transparent. Moderate tan head. Retention below average. Modest lacing. The faint aroma is chocolate, light metal, cacao bones. Light to medium body. Oily. Unusual Port wine notes for that ABV. Also chocolate, roasted malts. Tasty. Light bitterness. A little body hole in ending. Generally decent.

Bottle, 0.5l. Pours thick deep ruby, almost black body with small sized brown head. Smell is pleasant, caramel, toffee, a bit roasted with a hint of coffee. Light body with creamy texture, highly carbonated. Taste is bittersweet, slightly watery. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, toffee, licorice. Not bad, but lacking a bit in terms of coffee and chocolate flavours so it feels somewhat empty. Finish is long and slightly bitter and metallic. As the beer warms up, the metallic taste becomes quite overwhelming and this pretty much ruins this one for me. Overall, mediocre attempt.
